Anthony Joshua vs Kubrat Pulev Odds

Anthony Joshua (19–0), the unbeaten world heavyweight champion will Defend his WBA (Super), IBF, and IBO heavyweight titles against Kubrat Pulev (25–1)

at the Millennium StadiumCardiff, Wales.

Joshua comes with an unbeaten professional record of 19 KO wins from 19 fights, including a knockout win over Wladimir Klitschko at Wembley in April.

Pulev has lost just one of 26 professional fights, and that was a knockout in the fifth round by Klitschko in 2015.

Joshua defeated Klitschko earlier this year, making him a heavy favorite when he faces the 36-year-old Pulev.

After the defeat against Klitschko, Pulev fought British heavyweight Dereck Chisora for the European heavyweight title and won via decision. Pulev has won his last four fights, earning him a shot at the IBF title.

“I think the mistake Klitchsko made was he wasn’t prepared to take a risk to win the fight. I won’t make that mistake.”

- Kubrat Pulev

Further stating:

“I know the match will be terrifying, but physically I feel energized and mentally I am ready, and I have a good chance to win,”

Anthony Joshua mentioned:

“October 28 can’t come soon enough, I have been eager to get back in the ring since Wembley and now we are confirmed and ready.

I’ll be locked away focusing on fight number 20 for the next eight weeks. I am excited to experience the atmosphere in a sold-out Principality Stadium and aim to give the fans a spectacular night.”

Quoting his thoughts about the mandatory challenge:

"I was definitely looking forward to Klitschko [rematch]. He's retired and I wish him well, and my journey doesn't stop, so this is the next step now, a mandatory challenger,"

Pundits believe that it will be a knockout victory for Anthony Joshua, and somehow this mandatory matchup for the Champion is going to be easy work.

Former heavyweight champion David Haye pitched in his two cents saying:

"It could potentially be a tough fight but I can't see Pulev beating someone like Anthony Joshua...if Klitsckho couldn't do it, if Dillian Whyte couldn't do it...he's got a typical European style"

However, Kubrat Pulev has had 300 amateur fights and near 30 professional fights and is ranked at number 4 among heavyweights in the world and was heard saying that he will win via a knockout. Even though Joshua is a massive favorite in the bout, he will be fully prepared when he defends his IBF and WBA heavyweight titles against the Bulgarian in October.

“He wants what I have and I just want his soul, so let's get it on October 28”
