Nationaal Songfestival 2012 Odds

The Netherlands will participate in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 and will select their entry in the national final Nationaal Songfestival 2012; which will be organised by the Dutch broadcaster TROS.

For the first time since 2005 the Dutch entry will be selected through an open national final. 6 acts chosen from an open call will participate at the national final, which will be held on 26 February 2012.

The final will consist of three duels with two candidates competing in each. The three winners of these duels will get into a superfinal that will select the overall winner. The decisions will be made by a professional jury and public televoting. The final will also feature an international jury consisting of two people from each participating country in the contest, but their vote will be merely consultative.

The national final will be produced together with Big Brother and The Voice creator John de Mol and hosted by singer Jan Smit.
