Next club for Romelu Lukaku

Which team will sign Romelu Lukaku in 2017-2018?

Romelu Lukaku is considered as one of the deadliest finishers in Premier League. He scored 25 league goals for Everton last season and finished as the 2nd top scorer in PL behind only Harry Kane who topped the scoring chart with 29 goals. His exploits with Everton have not gone unnoticed as there are several clubs who want to sign him for the new season. With numerous clubs chasing him, which team is more likely to prise away Everton's charismatic striker? Lukaku's price tag is very high and whoever decides to sign him must know that he may have scored 20 plus goals last season but he did not really add that much value to Everton's league performance last season. His goals were only worth nine points which show that even without his goals; Everton would have secured 7th position.

Chelsea:

Current transfer rumors suggest that Chelsea is the front runner in Lukaku's transfer saga. Antonio Conte is very keen on bringing back the striker to a club where he played previously making only 10 appearances for the team.  With Diego Costa set to leave the club, Chelsea wants to add a clinical striker to their ranks. He enjoyed his team at Everton as he was the undisputed starter in the team but he no longer wants to stay at this current team as he publicly stated his desire to leave the club. While there is no doubt that Lukaku would be a great replacement for Diego Costa, should he choose Chelsea over other teams, but there is this fear that he would no longer be an undisputed starter for Chelsea as there is huge competition for places in the side. Therefore he should evaluate his options carefully before deciding his move.

On the other hand, Chelsea will go all out to sign him as they need him to lead their attack next season. There were also rumors of Alvaro Morata joining Chelsea but ever since Lukaku became available in the market, Chelsea withdrew their interest in Morata and now has set their sights on Lukaku. With a fee of around £70million, Antonio Conte is most likely to get his man.

Manchester United:

Manchester United's primary target was to sign Atletico Madrid's  Antoine Griezmann but since that move did not materialize they are also keeping tabs on Lukaku. He is a man who is well capable of replacing Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Jose Mourinho also knows him well as he played under him in his previous stint at Chelsea. However, recent transfer reports suggest that they are going for Alvaro Morata instead of Lukaku. An agreement has been reached with the player. Therefore there is minimal chance of them to sign Lukaku.
