UFC 217 Promo

The dust is slowly settling – the mega fight of MMA’s Connor McGregor vs. boxing’s Floyd Mayweather is over, and it ended just like many of the unbiased people expected that it would. The buildup to this fight was awesome in every regard, there were press conferences all around the globe, and even casual people knew a lot of trivia regarding the fight. But does this mean that since this fight is over, we can’t get excited about anything else now?

This is hardly the fact. In fact, there’s a list of big events coming up in MMA’s biggest organization nowadays, the UFC. UFC has always set the standards for organizing exciting, brutal matches between some of the top fighters from all around the world. And if you want to watch people fight, then we recommend you to check out the UFC.

One of the biggest, most important events that’s coming up in 2017 is UFC 217 (purely coincidental). The main event of this card is Georges St. Pierre vs. Michael Bisping. For those of you that are fully unaware of anything regarding MMA and the world of fighting in general, Georges St. Pierre is a Canadian mixed martial artist and a legend in the sport. He’s one of the pioneers that made fighting popular in modern times, and has a devastating record of 25 wins and 2 losses. Back in the day it was a treat to watch this man fight, as nearly all of his fights were very exciting. But suddenly after his bout with Johny Hendricks he decided to retire, much to the dismay to the MMA fans all around the world. But you’re in luck, because you will be able to see him fight once again at UFC 217 for the championship belt at the middleweight division.

His opponent, Michael Bisping is a fan favorite in the sense that he has a big mouth. He’s very intelligent as a showman, and he knows how to hype up a fight with all of the trash talking antics that we have come to love in modern day MMA. He’s the current champion at the middleweight division, and when GSP comes back to face him, it will be a really exciting fight.

And we can’t forget about TJ Dillashaw vs. Cody Garbrandt, another championship bout, in the bantamweight division. These two people are arch rivals, and they were the head coaches at The Ultimate Fighter recently. The interesting thing is that once upon a time in the past they were actually teammates. This bad blood between them will result in a memorable slugfest.

Moreover, this is not the only fight of the card. There are quite a few more. Among the most notable fights of the night is Stephen Thompson vs. Jorge Masvidal, a welterweight bout between two very highly skilled experts in MMA. Stephen Thompson never fails to deliver with his awkward karate stance that you don’t see every day, and with his devastatingly powerful leg kicks. And Masvidal is no slouch himself – he’s a fighter that manages to come strong in a division full of sharks – he’s one of the best fighters in the entire welterweight division. It will be a hell of a fight.

So, there you have it. If you’re not hyped for UFC 217, then we don’t know what else to say. We sure as hell are, and we can hardly wait for Bruce Buffer to shout out his memorable line “IIIIIIIIT’S TIIIIIIME!” at November 4, at UFC 217.
