Playoffs

SK ready to take the title to Brazil

The Brazilian team, SK Gaming debuted for the qualifying US Open with a good campaign. In the first matches, the team had four victories and only one defeat. With this result, the Brazilians have already secured the classification for World Finals that takes place in Haikou, China.

The team led by Gabriel "FalleN“ Toledo had its debut against the current world champion, Cloud9. In a very apathetic match of the Brazilians, SK was defeated by 16 to 2 by the Americans. The defeat was ugly and there was no lack of strength and motivation for the team to restructure and come back more solidly for the next four clashes.

Demonstrating total tactical dominance, SK won four wins and moved into second place for the final qualifying round, thus securing one of the places for the main championship.

The Brazilian team achieved the following results to qualify for World Finals:

  1. Cloud9 16 x 2 SK Gaming
  2. FRENCH CANADIANS 11 x 16 SK Gaming
  3. Mythic 3 x 16 SK Gaming
  4. subtLe 8 x 16 SK Gaming
  5. Swole Patrol 5 x 16 SK Gaming

The Brazilian squad will also play the playoffs of the qualifying stage, to play a greater value of awards as well as a seed that can assist them in the main phase.

SK Gaming will participate in the final day 12 to March 18, looking at the awards $ 800,000 for the champion of the tournament. The total to be distributed is $ 1.5 million, more than the amount paid at the Boston Major.

All we can do now is wait for the competition to set China on fire. The best teams from across the globe are ready to show their mettle at one of the most prestigious competitions in eSports.
