UEFA Nations League will be played by senior men's national teams of the member associations of UEFA. There are 4 groups in League B. Where the group champions of each group in League B will be promoted to League A and the last ranked (3rd place) team in each group will be relegated to League C for the next UEFA Nations League in 2020-21.

The group 2 of League B is probably the group of death in this league. It is a wonder which team will go through and which one will be relegated.

RUSSIA :

Russia is the host of the upcoming world cup in June 2018. They have qualified automatically for the tournament as hosts. Russia (previously the Soviet Union) have appeared in ten FIFA World Cups in total including the last world cup in Brazil. They qualified as group champions in the qualifiers that year but they were knocked out from the final tournament from the group stages. Russia also qualified for the Euro 2016 directly but again got knocked out from the group stage earning only 1 point. Russia were disappointing again in the group stage of FIFA Confederations Cup last year so they will be very eager to prove themselves in the FIFA World Cup this year as well as the UEFA Nations League 2018-19. The head coach of the team is Stanislav Cherchesov. CSKA Moscow captain Igor Akinfeev is also the captain of his national side. Russia currently rank 63rd in the FIFA world rankings.

SWEDEN :

Sweden are another strong team in this group.  They made their first World Cup appearance in 1934. Sweden has made eleven World Cup appearances and six appearances in the European Championships. They never won the World Cup but became the runner-up once (1958) and the 2nd runner-up twice (1950, 1994). Their captain and all-time top scorer Zlatan Ibrahimovic retired from international duty after the Euro 2016 but Sweden still qualified for the FIFA World Cup 2018. Janne Andersson took over as the head coach after Sweden’s disappointing performance at the Euro 2016. Their current captain is Andreas Granqvist. Sweden is ranked 19th in the FIFA world rankings.

TURKEY :

Turkey have played in quite a few major tournaments before. They have qualified three times for the FIFA World Cup. Turkey has also qualified four times for the UEFA European Championship. Their biggest achievement was when they shocked the world finishing 3rd in the 2002 FIFA World Cup. Turkey stood a very good chance to qualify for the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2018 but after losing 0-3 to Iceland at home in the qualifiers ended their hopes of automatic qualification. They are the only team in this group not playing in the upcoming World Cup and will surely try their best to become the group champions of this group in the UEFA Nations League. Arda Turan is their team captain and Mircea Lucescu is the head coach of the team. Turkey are ranked 38th in the FIFA world rankings.
