Tour of Belgium 2021

The 2021 Tour Belgium is a five-day cycling stage race scheduled to take place from 9 to 13 June 2021 in Belgium. It will be the 90th edition of the Tour of Belgium and will run as part of the 2021 UCI Europe Tour and is classified as a 2.Pro event starting in 2020.

Its first edition was held in 1908 and had organized nearly 90 races around Belgium. The tour is now one of the prestigious and important competitions of Belgium and plays an important role to get a challenging race experience for beginners. It is also known as the Baloise Belgium Tour for sponsorship purposes and travels through Belgium trails, as one of the popular races.

The race generally started its journey from East Flanders and finished through a wondrous competition near the southeastern corner of the Flemish region of Belgium. The race involves five challenging stages with a mix of climbing, sprints, and rolling zones. The race runs through a total distance of around 680 km (422.53 mi) that includes many flat and hilly areas. In this tour, there is generally organized an Individual time trial in the middle of the stages for 9 to 10 km around Belgium.

The race of the 2020 Tour of Belgium was set for 10th June 2020, unfortunately, was canceled for the issue of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Previous Winners

Belgian cyclist Remco Evenepoel is the most recent winner of the Tour of Belgium who won the 9th editing through a wonderful fight with riders in 2019 riding for UCI WorldTeam Deceuninck–Quick-Step. He got the first position defeating Victor Campenaerts (Lotto–Soudal) and Tim Wellens (Lotto–Soudal).
