5 potential Top goalscorers in Sky Bet Championship for the 2017-2018 season

The Sky Bet Championship is one of the most attractive leagues in Europe. From year to year, we witness someone astonishing outcomes at the end of the season. Also, this competition often produces the most lethal scorers in Europe.

Throughout the last campaign, Leeds United striker Chris Woods was fantastic, and he ended the campaign with 27 goals scoring on every 134 minutes of play.

He was also the player who has been the most accurate one. From total 82 shots on goal this season Chris Wood as we said already, netted 27 of them.

We're going to present you the five of the biggest contenders for the title of the top goalscorer of the Sky Bet Championship.

The first and biggest name for this title is the last year's winner Chris Woods. Especially if we have in mind that Thomas Christiansen, the new coach of the Peacocks, likes to play with an offensive approach in the game. The New Zealand international was on the radar of many teams during this transfer window, and if he stays at Elland Road, he is our choice number one.

Our next choice is Scott Hogan. One of the most precise forwards in the Championship is about to explode in the upcoming season. Aston Villa has a clear vision to head back to Premier League after two years of absence. It is why they wanted Hogan so bad in this transfer window. There is no doubt that this versatile player, who can play either at the wing positions or inside, will be a huge addition and possibly the pivotal player in their ambitions.

One other guy who caught our attention is Britt Assombalonga. The guy who landed in Middlesbrough for £15 million has to be acknowledged as one of the players who will score a fantastic amount of goals in the upcoming year. During the previous season, he was the top scorer at Nottingham Forest with 14 goals in 20 starts. But when looking the minutes spent on the field, he was the best in the whole league scoring on every 130 minutes. If he continues at this pace, there is no doubt that Assombalonga will be among the top scorers.

As we have mentioned Aston Villa has high ambition in this season. Everything except going back to the Premier League, will be recognized as a failure. To help them with this idea the number one player will be Jonathan Kodjia. The 27-year-old French international netted  19 times during the previous season and he was the top scorer of the Villans.

To close our list, we are going to mention Cameron Jerome, the experienced Norwich City striker. During the previous campaign, Jerome scored 16 goals almost twice as many as in the first two when he joined Norwich City. It is still unclear how will the Canaries set up their team for the upcoming year but one thing is sure. Jerome is going to be the vital player for scoring goals. Probably the whole team will work for him. It is why we think that he is going to be among the best scorers in the entire league.

This concludes our list of 5 potential top goalscorers in the Sky Bet Championship.
