Once a Premier league champion and the only club outside of London or Manchester to win the Premier league, Blackburn is now spending its second season in the Championship. Many question what went wrong in this great club, but the situation is not rosy at all. The club needs to return to the Premier league and that will be the top priority for the current manager Gary Bowyer. He is going on his first season and although things look promising, there is a whole season ahead of him and plenty of games to play. If he fails, he can be succeeded by one of these managers.

After being sacked by Stoke City at the end of last season, Tony Pulis is after a new job and a position at Blackburn might be his next location. Pulis is one of those managers who prefer a classic English football, with powerful number nine and strong midfield players. He might not have that at Blackburn so far, but his experience in the Premier league would surely bring in some new names. He is a realistic candidate for this position and if the situation requires, we are sure he will come into consideration.

Although he never managed any club and mostly served as a coach, Tim Sherwood looks set to get into managerial waters in the coming period. He is currently a coach at Tottenham Hotspur but was rumored to be the manager of several teams, including Blackburn. Sherwood is the club’s legend and played for seven years at Ewood Park, being club captain and lifting the Premier league trophy in 1995. We are positive that the club’s fans would welcome him, but his inexperience is questionable for a club that has ambition of returning to Premier league.
