Denmark Top Team Goalscorer

Odd unit: EU | UK | US

Denmark's football team took place on the World Cup in Russia, after defeating Ireland 5: 1 in Dublin. In Copenhagen there was no goals in the first match. Denmark, after eight years, was placed on the FIFA World Cup , and the most deserving for the triumph was Christian Eriksen, who scored a het-trick. This will be a 5th World Cup tournament for the Danes. Denmark made their first appearance in the 1986 World Cup in Mexico. Here they managed to enter in round of 16. They also noticed the biggest win in the World Cups in this competition against Uruguay with 6-1.  It was a huge success for this nation because it was their first participation. The next World Cup for them was in 1998 in France. In the group they managed to defeat Saudi Arabia, played a draw with South Africa and lost to France, which later became the World champion. In the knockout stage they showed a really impressive football. They beat Nigeria with 4-1 and showed an incredible game. However in the quarter-finals they hit the powerful Brazil. In an incredible beautiful game they lost 3-2. They could still be proud of the achieved and shown play and fighting spirit. They also achieved the best results so far in the World Cups in France.

In the 2002 World Cup, Danish in the group made a big surprise by overcoming the world champion France. However in a round of 16 they were defeated by England.

At the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, they came with great ambitions. But they lost their first game to Netherlands 2-0. They won against Cameroon 2-1 but it wasn’t enough because they lost to Japan 3-1 and it was the end of their ambitions. For the next World Cup they have high hopes and ambitions. But this is justified given the stars they have in the team and the games they showed in the qualifications.

Head coach of the team is the Norwegian Åge Hareide. There are several stars in the team like the goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel who plays for Leicester City in England Premier League. Simon Kjær is the captain of the team and he plays for Sevilla in Spain. There are also Jannik Vestergaard (Borussia Monchengladbach), Andreas Christensen one of the most talented defense young players (Chelsea), William Kvist (Copenhagen), Thomas Delaney (Werder Bremen), Lukas Lerager (Bordeaux), Pione Sisto (Celta Vigo), Nicolai Jørgensen (Feyenoord), Yussuf Poulsen (RB Leipzig), and of course the two most famous players Tottenham's young talent Christian Eriksen and the Lord Nicklas Bendtner who plays in Norway in Rosenborg.

This is a team that is quite young, but it also has enough experience and firmness to bear with the best.
