Tour of Valencia 2021

The 2021 Tour of Valencia, or Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana, is a stage race announced to take place from 3 February to 7 February 2021 in Valencia, Spain. The race will be the 72nd edition of the Tour of Valencia and will run as a 2.Pro event on the UCI Europe Tour.

It is usually used as preparation for the spring classics or the grand tours that start later in the season. The race generally goes entirely in the autonomous community of Valencia with five extreme stages covering around 600 to 800 kilometers.

This year's Tour of Valencia will set off on Wednesday 3 February and ends on Sunday 7th with a race distance of almost 600 kilometers. Theoretically, for sprinters, a hilly race, and ITT, and a stage for climbers of more than 4,000 vertical meters, the race offers two chances.

The 1st stage is raced out on a route with four intermediate climbs, which goes between Elche and Ondara while most vertical meters are located in the last part of the race. Stage 2 is an invitation to the quick men in the streets of Alicante to have their approach.

On the third day of fighting, the Queen Stage of the Tour of Valencia will run via Torrent and Alto de la Reina. Fifteen climbs and more than 4,000 vertical meters are included in the 160 kilometers path. It is like a type of Spanish-style Liège-Bastogne-Liège.

A pan-flat ITT near the Mediterranean Sea is the 4th stage, while stage 5 is another place for the sprinters to shine. In the streets of Valencia this time as the race's winning location.

Slovenian cyclist Tadej Pogačar of the UAE Team Emirates team is the recent winner of the Tour of Valencia 2020. Australian rider Jack Haig of Mitchelton–Scott and British rider Tao Geoghegan Hart of Team Ineos finished second and third respectively.
