FIBA World Cup 2019
Group C

The only thing that is questionable in group C is who will be second at the end of the group stage because team Spain is the number one favorite and without any doubt best team.
Puerto Rico, Iran, and Tunisia will have a hard battle for second place and next stage of the tournament. It will be hard to predict who will be second placed team, I will give a slightly bigger chance to team Puerto Rico, but let's start with one of the tournament's favorites.

Spain has announced a star-laden squad for the FIBA Basketball World Cup, one that has plenty of NBA players and also several standouts from their European Qualifiers campaign.
Recently crowned NBA champion Marc Gasol of the Toronto Raptors, along with Ricky Rubio (Phoenix Suns) and the Hernangomez brothers, Willy (Charlotte Hornets) and Juancho (Denver Nuggets), are on the 16-man list.
A couple of other former NBA players, Rudy Fernandez and Victor Claver, are included as well.
The Spains only concern will be, who will be second placed team in group D where are between others Italy and second tournament favorite Serbia. That will be the real challenge.

Iran for the third straight time, Iran will be playing at the FIBA Basketball World Cup, and the significance of that is not lost on one of the team's living legends, Samad Nikkhah Bahrami.
Iran has never advanced past the group stage in any World Cup, winning one game each in 2010 and 2014 for a compiled win-loss record of 2 wins against 8 losses.
This time around, they are in the same group as Tunisia, Puerto Rico and former champions Spain. Iran knows they can hang with those teams, and Bahrami believes that with a confident mindset, they are capable of pulling off a few surprises.

Puerto Rico has a longer tradition of excellence than both Iran and Tunisia, yet both of those teams will indeed be dangerous. Tunisia, the FIBA AfroBasket 2017 winners, has become one of the powers of Africa the past several years while Iran has featured at the last couple of World Cups.
The Caribbean team achieved their FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 qualification after overcoming Uruguay in a “final” in the conclusion of the windows.
Puerto Rico's NBA veteran guard Jose Barea will be the team leader in China and he will try to guide his team to the second stage.

The reigning African champions Tunis have selected a group of players that have been playing together for almost a decade. Ben Romdhane, Radhouane Slimane, Nizar Knioua, Mohamed Hadidade, Mokthar Ghyaza not only helped their country win their first-ever African title in 2011, but they have all featured for Tunisia at the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2010 in Turkey.
Tunisia’s basketball grew up a lot from the 2010 Turkey experience.
Salah Mejri, Michael Roll and Omar Abada will be teams main strength.
Playing at the World stage is not something that happens every day, and they have to make the most out of the opportunity.
