Three Betting Tips For 2024

As we enter a new year, there is a lot of excitement about what there is to come on the sporting calendar in 2024. We have the Olympic Games and European Championship in football to look forward to.

Here is a look at the three best bets for the year.

Lewis Hamilton To Bounce Back In 2024

Red Bull’s Max Verstappen has dominated Formula One over the last three years, winning three straight Drivers’ Championship titles. He is the odds-on favourite to defend his crown once again next year. However, he may not have it his own way.

Mercedes are going to be doing a lot of work in the off-season to get their car right for seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton. The British driver is 11/1 in the grand prix betting odds for the Drivers’ Championship 2024. Should Mercedes find some improvement in their car, he can challenge Verstappen for the title.

Hamilton has achieved so much in the sport that he would not keep going if he did not believe there was a genuine chance of him breaking the record for the most F1 world titles. It would be no surprise to see him get off to a fast start in 2024.

Ronnie O’Sullivan To Win Eight World Snooker Crown

The Rocket Ronnie O’Sullivan is widely regarded as the greatest snooker player of all time. Even at the age of 48, he remains at the top of his sport, as he showed last December when winning the UK Championship, the first Triple Crown event of the season.

O’Sullivan matched Stephen Hendry’s record of seven world championships in 2022. He will be desperate to lift the trophy for an eighth time this year, as then he would just about hold every record in the sport.

The world number one is 9/2 in the Crucible betting for the 2024 World Snooker Championship. In what is a 17-day marathon, he has the experience and form to rule Sheffield once again this spring.

Novak Djokovic To Prevail at Wimbledon

Serbian Novak Djokovic’s five-year grip on the Wimbledon title ended last July when he was beaten in a pulsating final that lasted five sets. The 24-time Grand Slam winner responded in the best possible way to that loss, as he won the Cincinnati Masters, US Open, Paris Masters and ATP Finals in Italy, producing some excellent tennis in that period.

One of Djokovic’s goals in 2024 will be to reclaim his Wimbledon title. If he is victorious on the grass courts in London, he will match Roger Federer’s record of eight wins in the tournament. The 36-year-old remains the man to beat in the men’s game.

Djokovic is second best at 7/4 in the Wimbledon outright betting. You could argue, given his record in the tournament, he should be the favourite. It should be another excellent year on the court for the world number one, including a triumph in the summer event in SW19.

Good luck with your bets in 2024 and enjoy all the sporting action across the year.
