Route d'Occitanie 2021

The Route d'Occitanie 2021 is a cycling stage race announced to run from 10 to 13 June 2021 across Southern France over four pompous days. The race will be the 45th edition of the Route d'Occitanie, which is normally the 2.1 event on the UCI Europe Tour.

It was organized for the first time in 1977 and is usually held a week before the Tour de France. The race has a ridiculous situation, which means that it has been renamed forth over the years, including the Tour du Tarn between 1977 and 1981, the Tour Midi-Pyrénées between 1982 and 1987, the Route du Sud between 1988 and 2017, and finally the Route d'Occitanie in 2018.

The route is designed with four extreme stages and involves a total race distance of approximately 700 km. Each stage is a little longer and involves sprints that are flat to hilly and run across southern France. Typically, the four stages run on individual days and represent a challenging competition. The start and end are held at a different place as the previous edition was started from Saint-Affrique and finished at Rocamadour.
