Just in time for its 50th anniversary, the Handball Bundesliga is extending the contract with title sponsor DKB. The private bank has been a partner of HBL for four years. The Handball Bundesliga has extended its contract with title sponsor DKB on time for the 50th anniversary prematurely. The new agreement with the Kreditbank runs until 2019, previously the partners were bound together until 2017. This was announced by HBL at the gala on its 50th anniversary.  The DKB had replaced the Japanese car manufacturer Toyota 2012 as a name sponsor. Allegedly, HBL receives just over one million euros per season from Deutsche Kreditbank.

The change from Andreas Wolff in the summer of 2019 to PGE Vive Kielce has already been confirmed. An early change, which is discussed again and again, should not exist. "Stand now we go with the same goalkeeping duo as now in the coming season," said Viktor Szilagyi in the Kiel news .

The goalkeeper himself emphasizes his full concentration on the German champions. "I'm looking forward to fully attacking the team next year," said the national team official in the regional newspaper, "and hopefully get at least one title - including a championship - to Kiel."

Andreas Wolff signed a contract with KS Kielce last October, which will be valid from 2019. "We will not report to THW Kiel because of an earlier change," Kielce President Bertus Servaas had made shortly afterwards on the homepage of the Polish record champion clear. Wolff stands since 2016 together with Niklas Landin between the posts of THW Kiel, the Dane had already extended his contract in December 2016 in Kiel until 2021.

The season 2018/19 will serve as a transition year. Here, five teams will descend and only three third-division teams will rise, so that the strength of 18 teams will be achieved. From the 2019/20 season, only two teams will leave the second league and only two of the four third-league champions will make the leap to the 2nd league. The Handball Bundesliga has decided on a reduction of the 2nd league at the general meeting. From the season 2019/20, the lower house will only play with 18 teams. Instead of the 38 games needed so far, then the 2nd Bundesliga with a total of 34 match days will go to the start. As the HBL announced, two teams from the lower house will rise in the 1st Bundesliga in the coming season and as many teams also descend. As in the past, four teams will be relegated to the third league. To the change in the 2.Bundesliga comes another change: The league assembly has decided to increase the usable players. In the future, the clubs can then register up to 16 players on the scorecard. So far, up to 16 players have been registered in the Bundesliga on the Spieberichtsbogen, but only 14 of them were allowed to actively participate in the game. This regulation is already valid from the coming season. Thus, the regulation of passive players is obsolete, "said the HBL in her message.
