Pep Guardiola is the current manager of English side Manchester City and has been in the job since February 2016. Guardiola was born on 18 January 1971 in Santpedor, Spain. Guardiola has an impressive managerial CV after taking jobs at Manchester City, Barcelona and Bayern Munich along with a playing career at clubs such as Roma, Barcelona and Al Ahli usually playing in defensive midfield.

He made 398 competitive appearances across his career and scored only 21 goals along with winning many trophies and individual awards mainly in his hugely successful time at FC Barcelona.

Guardiola started his managerial career at FC Barcelona where he managed the B team for a year before being promoted to first team manager in 2008. Barcelona was arguably the most successful reign of Guardiola’s as he won 3 La Liga’s in 2008-09, 2009-10 and 2010-11, the Copa del Rey in 2008-09 and 2011-12, the Supercopa de España in 2009, 2010 and 2011, the UEFA Champions League in 2008–09 and 2010–11, the UEFA Super Cup in 2009 and 2011 along with 2 FIFA Club World Cups in 2009 and 2011.

Bayern appointed Pep Guardiola in 2013 where he won the Bundesliga in 2013-14, 2014-15 and 2015-16, the DFB-Pokal 2013-14 and 2015-16, the UEFA Super Cup in 2013 and the FIFA Club World Cup in 2013. He had a hugely successful time at Bayern before leaving in June 2016 as his contract ended.

In February 2016, Guardiola was announced as manager of cash-rich Manchester City and signed a 3 year contract where he’d start at the end of the season. In his past 3 seasons at the club, he’s won the 2017-18 and 2018-19 Premier League, 2018-19 FA Cup, the 2017-18 and 2018-19 EFL Cup and the 2018 FA Community Shield. Even though Guardiola has this impressive list of achievements at Manchester City, the fans of the club will be hoping that the club can win the UEFA Champions League this season.
