Who will be relegated from the 2020/21 Premier League?

A controversial ending to the 2019/20 Premier League season saw Bournemouth, Watford and Norwich City all relegated from the league. Leeds United, West Bromwich Albion and Fulham FC were all promoted from the EFL Championship and will hope to avoid relegation in next year’s campaign.

Fulham are one of the favourites to be relegated next season after being the lowest ranked team to gain promotion from last year’s Championship campaign. They also failed to make any notable signings in the summer transfer window which makes many people believe that they’re headed for the drop.

West Bromwich Albion gained automatic promotion last season following their second place finish. They have a top manager in Slaven Bilić and top players such as Jake Livermore, Matt Phillips and summer signings Matheus Pereira and Grady Diangana who were brought in for a combined fee of 20 million pounds.

Leeds United won the 2019/20 EFL Championship and will return to the Premier League for the first time since 2004. They’re not one of the favourites to get relegated due to their summer transfer activity which has saw the likes of Rodrigo, Hélder Costa and Robin Koch all join the club. Marcelo Bielsa is also one of the best managers in the league and will be very surprised if his club ends up relegated at the end of the season.

Aston Villa and West Ham United are two clubs who narrowly escaped relegation in the 2019/20 season after finishing 17th and 16th respectively. Aston Villa have spent over £70 million this summer and many think they have the squad to survive the drop. West Ham haven’t strengthened as well as many other relegation-threatened clubs and could be in for a disappointing season in May.
