Who is Bradford City’s manager?

Andrew Stuart Murray McCall was born on the 10th of June, 1964 in Leeds, England and is the current manager of English side Bradford City. Stuart McCall made over 750 appearances in midfield for clubs in the United Kingdom such as Bradford City, Everton, Rangers and Sheffield United over a career which lasted 23 years.

Stuart McCall played for 4 different youth academies in Pudsey Juniors, Holbeck, Farsley Celtic and Bradford City. He made his first team debut for Bradford City in 1982 before going on to make 238 appearances for the club over a 6 year period. In his time at Bradford, he won 2 promotions and was named in the PFA team of the year on 3 occasions in 1985, 1987 and 1988.

His excellent form earnt him a move to Everton FC in 1988 where he went on to make 103 appearances over 3 seasons. Scottish side Rangers signed Stuart McCall for 1.2 million pounds in the summer of 1991 where he was a major part of the team for 7 years. McCall won numerous trophies including 5 Scottish Premierships, 3 Scottish cups and 2 Scottish League cups. McCall then played for Sheffield United for 3 years before retiring in 2005.

During his playing career, McCall also made many appearances on the International stage with 2 appearances for the Scottish under 21’s side along with 40 appearances for the Scottish National team scoring only 1 goal in the process.

After going into retirement, Stuart McCall went into management and took charge of Bradford City, Motherwell, Rangers and Scunthorpe United between the years of 2007 and 2019. On the 4th of February 2020, Bradford City reappointed Stuart McCall who would take over from previous manager Gary Bowyer who was sacked a day earlier.
